Looks like yoghurt, tastes like yoghurt, but it isn’t yoghurt

Coey’s Birthday

I realise that I’m still blogging about things that happened over a month ago, but this is what happens when the wireless connection you’re stealing means you have to sit uncomfortably on the floor in the porch and you have such an interesting life that nothing can get missed out. Well, seriously, it is uncomfortable.

Well my friend from the 6th form, Coey, celebrated his 21st just over a month ago now, so we celebrated by getting Chris another 6th form friend and Andy, yet another friend from the illustrious 6th form over from Lincoln. It would be the last time we would see him before the bugger went off to Japan to teach English for at least a year. The fact that I hadn’t seen him for about a year when we were both in the UK is irrelevant. So we all meandered down to a local pub for a few, to catch up. There was much drinking, talking and to my delight bluetoothing random things. Since obtaining an excellent phone off Geffy (which I still need to repay him for) I have been overly enthusiastic about using bluetooth, as Luke especially will know, after I used to sit downstairs in Harcourt place searching for phones! Anyway Andy showed me how to properly use the bluetooth function on my phone as it was somewhat unreliable before. We also graced Frankie and Benny’s with our presence getting a slap-up meal before going to the cinema, my old workplace and I was able to see a few familiar faces that I used to work with. The film, Pirates of the Carribean 2. This film in my opinion was a bit of a let down, I could do a whole review of how awful the ending was, but I’ll save that for another time, or maybe not at all.

Anyway, that was the end of that day’s festivities and the next day included going into town at around 1pm and generally drinking until 2am. I can’t be bothered to mention much of it as it mostly involved well, drinking. Though I did meet a representative from the famous Market Deeping that night, who was in a state as he was away from home, lost his mates and so had nowhere to sleep and his phone had ran out of battery so he didn’t know the number of anyone to call. Luckily I was on hand to let him put his sim card in my (or Geffy’s if you prefer) phone and was able to ring his parents who came to pick him up at 2am, which I thought was rather generous considering the time and the distance. Oh before you ask, I don’t think he knew Chris as I asked.

That was about it for the night really, I’m skipping some stuff as I really want to get this blog up to date, but unfortunately my mindset is too stubborn to leave any of these days out.

A few things before I leave this post: Good luck with your year in Japan, Andy. Sounds pretty cool and since writing this post I remember that when I saw you last was in my house in the early morning after that day and as everyone knows I don’t turn into a human being until I’m awake after midday, so it probably wasn’t the best time to see you off.

I have noticed that the button that Andy made to link to my site has been picked up by Matt and plugged on his, with no intervention from me, pretty neat.

Sorry I couldn’t make it to Garstock 2006, it looks like I’ll have to be taking my chances with the deaths part of the invitation, rather than the jelly. Due to very forseen circumstances, I couldn’t afford to travel and what with everyone being extremely generous with me and money already, I didn’t want to burden anyone by asking anything.

Lastly, it would seem that there are other people that are as Lord of the Rings obsessed as me, Tom has sent me pictures which he noticed whilst travelling in London:

White CityTook's Court

Fantastic.
