Gone off Yoghurt
There are a few things that I’ll explain before I get on to talking about the title.
Through Christmas, I had the fortune to watch the Long Way Round, a documentary featuring the famous jedi/lincoln six echo/smackhead and Charley Boorman who I’ve never heard of before this. The two basically set off to travel from London to New York the long way round on motorbikes. Well documentaries aren’t usually my thing, but this is another deal. I don’t know exactly why I like this so much, but well I do. I definitely realise that it’s not everyones cup of tea, in fact I can’t imagine anyone that I know enjoy watching it! Ah well travelling round the world like that, sleeping somewhere different each day and having new experiences I think that’s very cool. The cameradery between the two friends is also great, the two really get on well. Thinking about it, the general story conforms with everything that I love in films, games, books and the like, the sort of long quest theme, companionship and humour in the face of adversity. I was surprised to recently receive a new copy of said DVD in the post from a friend of my mum’s who I’ve never even met, the person that bought my mum the copy of the DVD that I watched over the festive period. Nice guy.
On another note, I’ve now got hold of the story that I mentioned in a previous post and am continuing on it. Unfortunately it is currently unavailable for public viewing due to it being unfinished and because I think it’s crap. I’m just doing it for fun though.
Onto explaining the title. The Yoghurt has unfortunately almost gone off past its’ use by date. My good housemate Tom provided the chocolatestarfish domain name to me and it needs to be renewed by the end of January. Unfortunately I can’t be arsed to pay said fee, although said yearly fee is pretty small and as Tom pointed out earlier, it probably cost less than the cost of my tea today. So that gives this website ooh about 12 days to live. Therefore this is my final Yoghurt post.
It’s been nice while it lasted and before I get too melodramatic I’d like to thank all the commenters for providing their views on here and also those kind people to link me on their site. Feel free to remove me at your leisure.
As for future plans I will probably buy a new domain name that is decidedly more chosen by myself and less…well…ambiguous. It may or may not contain a blog, perhaps depending on how many distraught people comment on this! It’d give me an idea of how many people read this and give my ego a boost! Hehe at least without a blog my ego will have time to deflate slightly. Good old Hitchikers Guide…
Bye!
